Our Heritage

Arkion SA was founded in Geneva in 2001 by Accountant and Private Banker Eric Halff, who was later joined by Bernard de Riedmatten, then a Director of a Swiss Fiduciaire.

In 2003, the holding Company Arksys Fribourg was formed and later that year Trade Finance Specialist Geoff Melamet joined the organisation, introducing Hertford Management SA (HMSA) to the Group, principally as a vehicle to manage and hold International Trust Structures.

In 2005, Swiss Tax expert Pierre Gritti and his team joined Arkion to lead, strengthen and support the company’s specialist in-house tax service.

In 2006, Accountant Eric Hohberger entered the business, and in the same year HMSA   New Zealand and HMSA Hong Kong were both established.

By 2007 Eric Hohberger’s Company, ExCo SA had been integrated into the Arkion Group.

During 2008 Hertford Management SA became Hertford Trustees SA in Fribourg.

The Group specialises in setting up and managing international trust and tax planning structures, and providing individual and multi-structure family office, financial and concierge services. It also offers a bespoke accounting and reporting service.

In the decade that has followed its incorporation, the Arkion Group has enjoyed steady and consistent growth both in client numbers and in the range and depth of services that it offers.
